How important are
computers to the service that you
provide?
Are you near one now? How does
it look (especially the keyboard)?
Does it project the image you want
for your service? Or not? What
would you think if you were a visitor
to your building? What can you
do about it?
Thornespark can provide a computer
cleaning service and without the
bulls*%t you might get elsewhere.
Some computer
cleaning service providers tell
you that by cleaning your IT
equipment you are combating a
major contributor to Sick Building
Syndrome and reducing sickness
caused by infections passed from
user to user via dirty keyboards.
They’ll then offer to sell
you a variety of wipes and aerosols
to deal with the problem.
We take
the approach that there is very
little evidence to support these
claims and it’s more
important to ensure that what is
cleaned is cleaned properly rather
than with expensive products of
questionable effectiveness. Users
of your building are much more
likely to contract infections from
toilet handles than from computer
hardware!
Where the state of your PCs is
more important is in the image
your organisation portrays to your
clients, your staff and any other
users of your IT equipment.
Thornespark
will clean your computer and
peripheral exteriors but, unlike
some companies, we believe that
the interiors are best left to
the people who know most about
them – IT technicians and
hardware support people. What we
do is use a simple common sense
approach to your computer casings,
monitors and peripherals.
We also
appreciate that once your PCs
have had a deep initial clean,
they won’t need as much cleaning
next time. This is reflected in
the prices for subsequent cleans
if you commit to a regular service.
